It's been a while since I checked in . Figured I'd share what I am currently working on.

Registration is now officially open for the 2015 Men’s Fall Knitting Retreat. This year’s dates are Thursday, September 3 through Sunday, September 6.
We have had a facility cost increase this year, but we have endeavored to keep costs low. Registration prior to May 15 will be $435. This is only a $25 increase from 2014!

Today I got an email regarding Etsy filing a registration statement for an IPO. I know some of you sell things using Etsy so here is the link that announces the registration.

I just finished this pair of socks for my mother. I like the way they turned out using the Evil Genius method again. The yarn is a superwash Merino/nylon blend that softens up quite nicely when washed and blocked. Mom's toes have a mind of their own and didn't grow especially straight, with two on each foot crossing over another. She never has to cross her fingers for luck, her toes have done that for her. She also has a very large big toe bone (cuneiform bone for those of you who enjoy anatomy) also known and a bunion.

My silk yarn arrived yesterday in the mail. I was a bit skeptical as the pic on ebay wasn't all that clear but the price I paid was great considering how much I would pay for 100% silk at the local yarn store.
Although its a 2 ply, its not a lace weight. Kinda in-between which I am happy about. It would be too thick for a night shirt.

Well... I finished two pair of socks within the past couple of weeks - having joined a "12 Months, 12 Socks" knit along sponsored by WY Fiber Skeinks [a Ravelry group I'm in]. I hope to post photos soon.
The first was a plain knit pair in Austermann Step that I really liked knitting with. Very soft and great color gradations.

Just finished a sweater that I had been working on for a couple of months. The pattern is a mosaic one in which slipped stitches are used to create an effect. Only one colour is used in each row. I used Jamieson and Smith jumper weight Shetland wool and 3.25 needles. I used an applied I-cord for the neck opening.

Just a quick thought - thanks Jesse for sparking this -
Do you belong to both Men Who Knit and Ravelry's group, MWK? If so...do you find yourself using one more than the other?
