A note to anyone in the greater Toronto area: David Armstong will be giving a presentation at the next Downtown Knit Collective meeting (http://www.downtownknitcollective.ca) on the subject 'Caring for Wooden Fibre Tools'. The meeting is on March 21, from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, at Innis College, 2 Sussex Avenue, Toronto. The folks at the DKC have asked if he would like to have a table of his fine wares, so it will be a chance to actually touch-and-try (which is tricky online.) http://www.finefibretools.com.

These were completed last week. I wanted to make a pair of socks for my mother, I had the yarn sitting here for a long time, asking to be knit into socks, but I needed to find the right pattern.

So as I said, I really enjoyed spinning this alpaca, and was very disappointed when it came to an end. I went into a slight depression -- nothing really seemed to measure up!

I just spotted this offer and it's a great deal! I have this book (and her second book too) and they are well worth having, if you do any lace.
