I love being married to another fiber fiend!
I've wanted a loom since I was in 4th grade.
Can't wait to play with it.

As usual, I've taken on more than I can chew....
I decided on the "Lyra" and began it as a half-circle, only to discover that I can't figure out a place in the pattern to split it in order that the shawl would come out somewhat symmetrical. Argh!

I finished this yesterday... seems to be the "summer of lace..."
What a great pattern!
I altered it from the original full circle, adding a garter stitch border, and given my crappy eyes did it with sock weight yarn on 10s.

A couple of months, 2 1/4 skeins, 29,060 stitches later, I finished this beastie!
It's about 72" across and 36" long.

Three skeins and a few gazillion stitches later, I'm ready to cast of my "Vernal Equinox" shawl! YAY!

So, I'm 2/3 of the way done with a lace shawl, and realize that I'm gonna need another skein. CRAP!

Hey guys (and ladies)-
So a few months ago, I did Brooklyn Tweed's "Juneberry Triangle." My first lace attempt, and I loved it.

I can't seem to get this one. When doing a wrap and turn in stockingette, do I slip, yf, etc, or yf, slip, etc? Is the slip knitwise or purlwise? No one seems to agree. There's gotta be a better way.

Here's the finished beastie...
I'm still so pleased with it- and blocking wasn't the nightmare I was anticipating!
Now if I can get up the nerve to try Mmario's "wedding peacock..." hmmmm....!
