I'm just coming up to the 1 year anniversary on this fairisle sweater. It's slow going, especially since I haven't touched it in months - I'm working on a pair of thrummed mitts right now.

Infiknit is a needlework kit and pattern distributor with an inventory of over 1000 patterns created by more than 40 designers from 3 countries: Canada, the United States and Britain.
One cool product they have is EcoKnit Yarn - 100% organic coloured cotton yarn. It’s apparently great for knitting (I haven't tried it myself yet) and great for the environment - the cultivation of cotton is said to account for 24% of world pesticide use.
Here are the yarny details in yarny-speak: 100% certified organic cotton grown in colors, 20 to 22st to 4in on 3.5 to 4.5mm needles. Deliciously soft lustrous yarn in 50g, 100yd skeins. Bagged 10 to a bag for stores. : Here's the link

I recently completed this childrens sweater for my nephew Jaxon. It worked great. I'm not sure if his mother will ever put it on him but I'm certain the sizing was good - if not a little big for him right now.
So, I thought, now that I've tackled a small sweater in this lopi pattern then I'll do a nice big one for me. The cardigan in this picture.
I did the cuff at the bottom and the pattern, it worked great, except it's made for a munchkin.
I wonder if anyone else has had this problem. I've made two sweaters now and both turned out well - this one I really want for me, as I've knit the others for my partner and my nephew. How frustrating! Ommmm...

I just made my first slipper. Very cool. It's a felted slipper using Alafos Lopi (sp) and despite a couple of mistakes that I made along the way it worked out pretty well. I've been off sick today and been wearing one slipper around the house - testing it for it's worthiness as a mode for some Christmas presents. I went to the yarn shop yesterday to find another ball of the same colour I used and, Murphy was there - they had everything but :) Oh well.
I'm going to make a matching set for a couple (variations in colour).
