Yeah, I cast on something new because I couldn't imagine working on one of the items in progress. I have fallen to another spring's case of the startitis even though I recognized the signs and symptoms but was defenseless in its path. This is the Apples For the Trees yarn I had plyed up this last week. I am knitting the Age of Brass and Steam Kerchief.
So, I have not been knitting much these days. I pick the few projects up for a bit and am just not into them so they promptly get put back down. I get irritated with myself when I get in this state and work at fighting off the startitis that starts to edge in. I normally knuckle down and make myself wipe out some projects but now with spinning on my list of hobby's I'm finding that I let myself wander over to the wheel to distract myself.
I had a post Christmas knitting season goal of finishing up a batch of unfinished items.
So, I've been working on this "Dragonfly" 75% Polworth 25% Silk blend that I purchased from Huckleberry Knits. I've been spinning it out quite thinly in hopes of making a three ply. It's been slow going and occasionally I feel some impatience at my slowness until the part that is just enjoying the process and finding peace in the treadling of my wheel takes back over and just enjoys it.
