Sunday I'm heading out to Minneapolis for some work related training. Naturally I want to check out the Local Yarn Stores and a possible knit night. According to Ravelry there is a Men's Knit Night that meets on Wednesdays. Anyone out there who goes to that? I'm going to be there until Thursday, so I'm thinking of knitting related excursions either Tuesday or Wednesday evenings. I won't have a car while I'm there so I'm limited to public transportation and cabs, unless I can sweet talk the hotel shuttle into dropping me off and picking me up.

The most recent finished object that I realized I hadn't posted about. This was probably the pattern I liked best from the Guy•Knit book by Interweave Press.

I have 3 cousins with babies on the way so I've been making baby things. The baby sweater is probably one of my favorites and I can't tell you how many of them I've made over the years.

The package actually came on Friday, but today was the first chance I had to take some pictures. Thank you Jonathan for the scarf and the chocolates. We are expecting below freezing temps later this week, so I'll be wearing this scarf when I venture out.

I completed the Orange Socks that I was making using my hand-painted sock yarn. The base yarn was Wool2Dye4 Platinum Sock Yarn. I colored the wool with Orange and Grape flavored powdered drink mixes. The pattern is the Basic Sock Pattern by Ann Budd. Pictures under the cut...

Right now I have 3 pairs of socks in the works. Of course two of those each have one completed sock. It's just the way I am.

Back in January 2007 the Greater Buffalo Knitters Guild held a Lace Shawl Knit-Along seminar. We met for 10 weeks learning the basics of lace and knitting a Pi Shawl.
