Hi gents! I just finished up a little something for myself. I made the Antler Hat by 'tincanknits'. The pattern is free on Ravelry. It features five vertical cabled 'antlers' that go from the end of the ribbing up to the tip of the hat. The only mod I made to the pattern was taking out one repeat of the Antler Cable chart. It seemed like the hat was getting a bit long/tall, so instead of doing nine, I did eight.

I currently have a large knitting bag that will hold a lot of stuff...right now it's holding all kinds of notions in different zippered pockets, a drop spindle and some roving, a couple books, and three different knitting projects. It's great for carrying a bit of everything, but I often would like something smaller that would hold just my current project as well as a few essential notions. This week I came across something called a Sock Sack which looks pretty great.

Hello gents. I am currently finishing up a project which I'll post more about in a few days. In the meantime, I took some pictures of the in-progress item which looks so weird that I had to share it. Any guesses on what it is I'm making?

Quite some time ago I posted about how I had gotten interested in spinning fiber on a drop spindle. Since then I have acquired a few spindles, mostly Turkish, and have gotten in a fair amount of practice.

Hi guys! After seeing all of Andy's wonderful socks, and shortly after Mark mentioned starting a pair, I decided I'd join the fun and try the Brethren sock pattern as well.
