...for as long as but a hundred of us remain alive...

It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

We have a baby!!!

It was foretold anyway, when I was knitting for all of the other babies earlier in the year...

My sister made me an uncle again with a 8lb, 19 inch boy.

I, said the sheep...

I, said the sheep with curly horn,
I gave him my wool for a blanket warm.
He wore my coat on Christmas morn.
I, said the sheep with curly horn.

...found a poem.

I was digging through some old files and came across this that I wrote quite a while ago about my favourite sweater. I think it was in one of my journals or something, but, the text ended up in one of the files on my computer.

...and I'm generally not one for writing poetry that rhymes:

Oh gansey oh gansey,
Tight upon my chest;
Give me great protection,
'Till the boat comes to rest.

Diamonds, ropes, and ladders
Adorning all the yoke;
Keep me safe while fishing;
To get back to my folk.
