It's been a very long time since I posted to MWK, although I have stopped by occasionally to see what all the guys have been up to. However, I see others are not posting either! I have a story to tell you about repurposing some yarn.
Shows how long it's been since I logged on. Heck, I had to change my location though it's been 2+ years since we moved. The site looks very different, but I still see the old faces that I love. I hope you've all been well in my absence and thank you Darrel for carrying this site onwards and upwards.
Sorry if this is misplaced, but I'm not sure what these ads are, but I'm pretty sure they don't belong on a blog about knitting and I want to make sure neither the blog or the user's account has been hacked.
How do you handle being "odd man out" because of the hobby (knit/crochet) that you enjoy so much ?? I really enjoy crochet and I read books for fun. These are not typical "masculine" activities. I love both of these hobbies, but I have to enjoy crochet pretty much as a loner because there are so few of us. I am a member of a local chapter of CGOA where I am the only male member. I really enjoy the group, but would like to find or start a men's group in Lake Couny, IL
Go where the yarn takes you.

I am looking for a group that meets near me. It would be great to get together with other guys that enjoy crochet or knit or whatever your craft is.
I think knitting is a terrific way to relax. Would love to find other guys in the Southeast Michigan (Detroit, Ann Arbor) area who would like to get together and knit. It would be great to have some good conversation partners while working on projects. Hope guys will message me if you are in my area and interested!
Not been here for a long ole time.
I firstly apologise I have been head deep in designing contracts and not been surfing the knitting sites as much as I did.
Since I been gone, I have written 2 new book and wanted to share them with you all.
Nice to be back - Happy Knitting Guys!!
Hi. I am in Long Beach, CA. Looking for other guys in the area (LA/OC) who are interested in meeting up to knit together. If interested please send me a message. Thanks.
I am attempting this vest (http://olgacasey.blogspot.com/2011/08/hetman.html), but being a relatively new knitter, I have questions.
First, I need to up-size this a bit, any clues as to how o do this?
Second, there are instructions to "add a stitch" for the back of the vest. Does this mean I should make a stitch, or is there another technique I need to learn?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
