Hi everyone -
I hope you have all had a lovely Holiday Season [whichever tradition you celebrate] and have a Blessed New Year. I've received many lovely gifts - many of them fiber related - and hope you have as well.
Now - the question...
What (or Who) inspired you to learn the great art/craft of knitting?
Hello, gentlemen. I'm wondering if anyone out there is in the San Diego area. I'd love to have some other guys to knit with.
Well almost completed the 6 year old jumper in blue. Twin to the 3 year I did a few months ago. Took 3 skeins of wool to knit. Machine washable 4 ply wool. (http://skeinyarn.com)
Comparing the size difference between the two jumpers.
I'm trying to find out if any knitters in Chicago, IL would like to start a group for men who knit. There was one several years ago, but it was not well attended and eventually disbanded.
Luckily, I barely made the deadline on this pair of socks, finishing the last of the weaving in ends by 9:00 PM local time.
The few times that I have used washable wool, I have found the garment would sag. Can any of you recommend a good one.
Hey guys been gone awhile, decided to get back. Had vacation in NYC this past week!. Had a great time! Did get to a knitting shop on East 77th Street called "Knitting City" great place. People there very friendly. Picked up a few skeins of yarn.(like I needed more)
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.
I just joined the group and picked up knitting again and was wondering if anyone knows of any groups around NE Ohio?
I am at the bottom of the sweater I am making for my son and am trying to decide whether I should use a 2x2 rib or a 1x1 rib. What have you guys experienced. I have always used 2x2 but wondered if a 1x1 would look better. It's a very plain raglan sweater with stockinette stitch. My son likes his clothing to be simple and understated. Any suggestions?
