No complaining here

I didn't make it to MSKR this year, and while I could feel really sad, I found it hard to feel too bad. I finally got to meet Stephen West when he came to Philadelphia this past weekend. It was great to fondle and try on his shawls and get some color choice advice. Meeting him after having followed his patterns and blogs for a while made me feel a bit like a stalker, but he was very gracious. I was excited to knit with someone who is creating new designs (he finished a shawl prototype he had started the night before, speedy demon that he is!) and realize that I'm not the only guy who stays up to crazy hours of the night working on knitting projects when I have places to be the next day. I was sad to see him go; the lucky dogs in NYC get him for a few days now...

The photo is of Stephen, me, and Greg (who couldn't be there but had to be in the picture all the same)

Great photo...Greg's kinda hot, huh?

Wish you could have done both things...the amazing guys at the retreat are a lot like you.

You make me to laugh, Joe. Yes, I'd love to do both. As time goes by...

Yup, color me jealous and I was at the retreat. (really wishing you were there too, really!) That's a great picture! Two fine looking young men and yarn. Doesn't get much better than that. Except maybe two fine looking naked young men and yarn.

You can send me those privately!

Missed you at the reteat Willy - glad to find out you had a great weekend.

MMario - I'm not divorced from reality - we're having a trial separation
