So after a long talk with myself, my family, and only those close to me that I truly call friends, I have decided to pull "MADMAN KNITTING" from the shelves as of August 17 of this year. Basically in two weeks. There are a number of reasons for the decision, the primary one being the safety of my family. Yes, the backlash from threats of lawsuits, to your run of the mill "I'm going to ruin you" crap has made my family a little nervous. So for their sake, I'm pulling it. I also had all ideas that the people mentioned unfavorably in the book probably hadn't read it, but had simply heard about what I had published. Savannah is an awfully small town. I'm ready for a life in the rural areas outside town, grow my vegetables, have my sheep and alpacas for wool, and quietly be left alone with my man so that I can knit and write quietly without the fear of being asked to leave a restaurant or bar because I made a reputation for myself simply by being honest in a book. SO! Back to work on my tablecloth, which has suffered under the need for me to spend any waking moment doing any kind of marketing you can think of. I guess that's that. (I'm looking forward to having yarn in my hand again).
