fair isle scarf

steve kadel's picture

i made my first attempt at fair isle by making some patches within the scarf. it's for soldiers in afghanistan. it's all simply soft by caron. i tried steam blocking and it kind of worked even though it's acrylic. the other parts are all seed stitch

Those patches are really neat! Did you make up the patterns or did you adapt patterns from another source? Makes for a very unique and interesting scarf. I likes muchly!

Great work! Why don't I ever think of doing something like that?
