Melanie Shawl

Hey guys. I just put this shawl onto wires to block it.
I started knitting this shawl a year ago, in January. Very skinny yarn (wool) on size 2 needles. I cast off as loosely as I imagined it needed, but it still didn't stretch out to the size indicated in the pattern. It's about 56" square, but it should be about 64" square.

Thanks, everyone, for your compliments. I love this type of lace knitting because the finished shawl is light as a feather, and really pretty. As soon as I get a pic of it being modeled, i'll post it. :-)

Back to really comment, I only had a few moments before. This is great knitting and I really, really like the way you used the border design to create the pointed edging. It's an interesting take on traditional shawls. Must remember that for future projects. Congratulations. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
