Baby Patterns

A colleague is pregnant and I intend to do some baby knitting for her. I went to the drapers today and the cost of the pattern books is so dear. I hate to spend so much money for a book which only has one garment I would knit from it. Can anyone supply some links for free knitting patterns for baby clothes? I want both traditional and contemporary. I am especially interested in the sleeping bag.
Cheers. Jesse

Hi Jesse, you could try here http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/directory/baby.php
or Ravelry if you are on there.

I hope life is getting back to normal after the earthquakes.

I also recommend this site. Lots of patterns for all kinds of knitting. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Thank you. I looked on there and saw a few patterns worth considering. The latest 2 bad earthquakes on 13 June have done even more damage around here. We have lost all but 1 of our shops for knitting wool and yarns. There is another haberdashery which carries yarns but I can only described them as booring and garish. We are not in a good way!

Hi Jesse! Are you on Ravelry? Highly recommend their pattern search.

I've never joined Ravelry. I just don't have the time to spend on the internet and still get my knitting done!

I have found many free patterns on knitty.com as well. Never looked there for baby patterns but bet there would be some.
