A Wild Time in the Wild West

Just got home from Yellowstone and Bridger-Teton National Parks. Met a friend I haven't seen since leaving Alaska at Madison Campground then tooled around for a few days. It was darn nice, I have to say. I even got in a bit of knitting on my two at a time from the toe up socks.

These are from the Queen Kahuna self published book. Have to say, I don't care for her writing. The instructions are so befuddled because she gets side tracked on a tangent. After screwing up the heel for the third time trying to read her instructions, I said screw it tossed the book in the back to the dogs and did it how I thought it should be done. I'm happy with the result so far. Have to finish that danged ribbing now! Don't care much for the toe, but I know how I will do it in the future. This toe would probably work great for someone with a more square set of toes. I am not one of those people. It's a simple toe once you get the hang of it though and is pretty to look at. Just doesn't fit my foot the best.

Hope you all had a great weekend and are having a wonderful week.

I was working on a tan while knitting! Some of us are just pale

Sullivan gets cold, and since he's a growing boy as well as a rambunctious kid of sorts, I bought him a Carhart vest to keep him warm for now. When he's done zooming through swamp water and growing I'll knit him up something nice. I promise.

Sullivan looks as if he'd prefer a handknitted vest!
...glad you all had a good time...

Great stories and photos, Quinton. Thanks for sharing and it was grand to sit and knit this morning with Debbie and yourself. As always. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Sullivan is still growing ??? He looks like he could already wear one of your old sweaters. Just looking at him makes me smile and laugh.
