Coming Stateside!

Hi all,

I'll be back in the US for a month or so, including 5 days in New York (Oct 6-9), about 10 days in N. Arkansas (Oct 10-19), and 12 days in Seattle (Oct. 20-November 1). Anybody in those places? I'm also wondering about good yarn stores in New York since I'll have plenty of free time there (though it will be jet-lagged time, what the heck).

If anyone in Seattle wants a bit of way inexpensive but nice 75% wool 25% sock yarn, I can play yarn fairy too. :) (I won't be posting that offer on Ravelry though or I'd probably have to take 2 suitcases full...)

I assume that when you say you are coming to "New York" you mean to say, "New York City." There is more to NY than just NYC. My friend Meghan and I have been putting together a list of the shops we want to drive down into the city to visit. I will get the list from her and post them here for you if you'd like.

The only shop that I know we're not going to visit is the Lion Brand Store. Everyone we know who has ever went there has had terrible things to say about the quality and attitudes of the people working there so we've taken them off the list. I remember that quite clearly.

Hi Bob,
I made a long post about various LYS's in NYC a while back:

Hope that helps!
