May all of you have a Blessed and Merry Christmas, and A Prosperous New Year.
Good Tidings to all of you.
I wanted to send some sort of holiday greeting to my knitting friends and colleagues, but it is difficult in today's world to know exactly what to say without offending someone. So I met with my lawyer yesterday, and on her advice I wish to say the following:
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non addictive, gender neutral celebration of the summer or winter solstice, depending on which side of the equator you live, holiday practised with the most enjoyable traditions of religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practise religious or secular traditions at all.
I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2012, but not without due respect for the calendar of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make our country great (not to imply that our country is necessarily greater than any other country) and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee .
By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms:
This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/him or others and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. The wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher.
Best Regards ( without prejudice )

Oh the hell with it -- Merry Christmas!!
And there I was thinking only England was this PC-crazy. A non-prejudicial Merry Christmas to you sir and a big thanks for putting a smile on my face at the beginning of this day.
I Love It !!!!
Easier Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Merry Christmas. Thank you for your best wishes to me also.
Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
I always wish everybody a Merry Christmas, whether they believe or not. If they can receive my blessing, so much the better, and if they cannot, it is no loss to either of us. It's hard for me to imagine anyone small minded enough to refuse to have a merry Christmas just to spite me. :-)

I am glad to hear someone feels the same way I do about Christmas. I have said it all my life and it is too late too change it now. By the way I love the hat you have on.
Thanks Bill. I made it on a Knifty Knitter round loom out of Cascade 220 and then "fulled" it a bit in the dryer.
Happy holidays. Merry Christmas. Season's greetings. Cheers. Best wishes....Have a good one...Cullen
