Fiber Trends Easy Lace Wrap

Hi All,

Its been a while since I've posted something so I thought I post a pic of my current project. Our 1st grandchild is due on 10/11/12 and I am making this for my wife to wear to the christening. It will be the pink one on the cover to the left. The yarn is Treckking's pro natura - 75% New Wool and 25% bamboo fibre. Its a fast knit. I'll post a pic when I am done and it is blocked. Hope you guys like it.

That is beautiful! Your wife will be the talk of the christening...well, after the baby, of course. How long has it taken you to get this far? It looks very detailed. You'll have to have your wife model it for all of us when you are finished.

Very nice work. Trekking has some nice yarns and I've knit several pairs of socks with it that I've been very pleased with. I'm sure your wife will get lots of compliments.

Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

What beautiful lace! I love that pattern and will hunt for it shortly. Really nice job too - it's perfect for a christening. I want to see a picture of your wife wearing it on the the day, holding the baby in front of the church. See that it happens. ;-)

Hi all,

Thanks for the comments everyone. After this is done I am going to make myself a pair of socks with the same fibre. White I think or pale blue to go with jeans.

You do such great work---so even and controlled. Your wife must be very proud of you. Such a wonderful fabric for a special occasion. Like the others who have posted, would love to see the finished project.

Sorry I forgot to answer the question on your comment. This is about 3 weeks worth of effort. I do not knot everyday though I try.
