Rocky Mountain Men's Knitting Retreat 2012

Another great time was had by all who attended this year's Retreat. It was a smaller group than last year - 13 vs. 20 - but the company and camaraderie were in no way diminished. We had a long field trip on Friday but the gorgeous scenery of Rocky Mountain National Park and other areas of Colorado when we took various breaks more than made up for it. [As did shopping at the Lonesome Stone Spinning Mill].

Saturday saw a nice opportunity to just sit and knit while other fellows went for a short hike and the Stitchin'Den in Estes Park hosted us for a wine and cheese reception as we shopped for more wool.

Sadly, the time together was over far too soon but it leaves many memories and the anticipation of next year's event. Many thanks to Bradferd and Purlyman for all their hard work to organize this great time together. Many thanks, also, to all the gentlemen who attended and made this event even more special for me.

Joe, I am glad that you enjoyed yourself. I have seen some pictures of the retreat location and you guys were truly lucky to be there in that paradise.

Awesome, the Southeast Retreat is trending toward the small side this year as well. Glad to hear it may not just be our retreat suffering from the economy. Glad you all had a great time.

You were missed, too. Hope you can come next year. Hope the summer was good for you and the family.

Thanks for the update Joe. I missed you guys so much. I had three events that weekend, and had to choose the one my daughter planned. :-) We had great family time at Cheyenne Frontier Days but I kept thinking of you guys and Sunshine Lodge.
