New Toy

Sorry to double dip like this but I'm so excited - my new canvas hat form arrived! Just in time to show off the Neoclassic from Slouchy Beanies.

What an interesting mannequin head. Was it originally for hat shops?

It's actually a wig form for storing and styling wigs. I needed something that the hats would slip around on as I worked on them and the canvas surface was ideal. I will also useit is as a blocking form. Plus it's less creepy looking then a mannequin head.

I was thinking clothing designer mannequins over display heads. Some of those do look strange.

Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Thank you, I'm currently working on an order of four, I think I'll be sick of it after that.

Scott,
can you tell it it's styrofoam inside or filled with sawdust?
...if it's sawdust you can steam press on it...but not if it's styro.

I'm thinking sawdust, its' too heavy for styrafoam.
