From 'Gathering of Lace' with a few changes (of course!)
I started the edge a couple days ago and should get a picture tonight. (Posting this should motivate me)
It's done in a mixture of Knitpicks 'Alpaca Cloud' in the Autumn colourway and 'Shadow' (lace weight merino) in the Sunset colourway. The two yarns are remarkably similar. I alternated rows through a good portion of the shawl; mostly to use up a partiel skein of the Autumn I had left from another project. I will most likely have to wind another skein of the Autumn to finish it, but hey - excuse to buy more!
What other changes - lemmee see, I threw in a band of Madiera Mesh before the shetland lace band, changed the horseshoe lace to a variant alternating two sizes and changed the Madiera diamonds to a Madiera Cascade variation - but otherwise it's GOL's Shetland Tea Shawl.
oh right - instead of the beech leaf pattern for the edge in GOL I'm using a simple leaf edge from a late 1800's knitting guide.
