Finished - MMarios Faux Spanish Lace Shawl

I finished it this week using that blasted Lion's Brand I posted about before. Yes there are mistakes but hopefully concealed well enough. I need to remember to not let my mind wonder when doing stuff like this.

Anyhoo, I made it for an 85 year old neighbor named Olga. I enjoyed making it. Thanks MMario!

Next....I am doing something smaller to get used to thinner yarn (and to practice not letting my mind wonder)....a scarf using fingering wt yarn and 3 mm needles in Vine Lace for my Mom.

And is the ham modeling....

Hey Rob,

Can I borrow the ham for a modeling job? You have to use him (her) for everything now, no matter what it is. Socks, hat, mittens, squirrel...

Really great job! Amazing what a few weeks can do... I remember when it was just "this big"! Olga's a lucky woman. I hope you have a nice next couple of weeks!!

All the best. Frank.

The shawl looks great and Tucker models it so well. I'll second Frank's motion, Tucker the dog has to be your official model for all finished projects from now on. I think some socks would be hilarious.

Beautifully done. Olga's very lucky to have a friend such as you. I love your model, very professional looking!

Looks great. And every dog should have a shawl - should be required.

That looks wonderful! The Faux Spanish Lace was kind of an unofficial knit-a-long, wasn't it? I just laid mine out for blocking this morning. I've got to get good pictures. Kinda hard to do since it's in black and I have very little in the house to put it up against for good contrast

Beautifully done Tucker ;) and he sits so well for the pictures. I'm beginning to wonder if h's not a statue.

Trust me...the dog is real...especially when I try to take a nap on the couch and 5 minutes later he is sitting there with his ears perked up and his body moving from wagging his tail and breathing in my face while he stares to wake me up (whew that is a big run on sentence). If that does not work, I get little kisses. If that does not work, he starts pushing me with his head. I love the lil goober.

Sounds like he loves you too. :-) We (Dennis and I) get similar treatment from our 4 cats, especially the two boys.

The shawl looks great! Of course, Tucker is a pro and knows how to display the product to it's best advantage - one of the benifits of working with proffessional class models.

MMario - ambiguity is cultivated, it doesn't happen in a vacuum!

MMario - I'm not divorced from reality - we're having a trial separation

Yeah well if it were me, I'd be wondering when I'd be getting my own shawl instead of modeling everyone else's.
