My Very Own Scarf

When winter set in, I realized I'd given away nearly everything I'd ever knit before. I was going out of town for a wedding and decided I'd knit myself a scarf on the plane. Long and thin, it makes for a nice double-wrap and keeps me very warm. I was too excited to sleep the night before the fight, so I kept the pattern simple...

Lovely scarf! Isn't it amazing how much relaxation knitting can give one?

Appreciation from others for knitting is addictive. But, yes, one shouldn't give away everything one knits.

Have fun,

Glad to see that you are doing some knitting for yourself.  Even though our creations make wonderful gifts and the joy of giving something away, there are those times that the knitter needs to make something for himself.  And wear it so the world can see.  And thank goodness for knitting as we travel.  Puts a whole different spin on how we handle wait time, stress and just move through with the knit and purl stitches as we go from point A to point B.

Nice scarf! Looks like dark stone with a colorful inclusion. :)
