FOLK BOOKS

Has anyone checked out this series of books? I love to do this kind of stuff but are these worth the $21. a piece? If so I'd like to have most of them.

Buy them on Amazon. They're much cheaper. I have Folk Bags and Folk Hats. Both have some very nice projects in them but what made them more enjoyable is the brief "history" of style and color work of the regions represented.

I have the bag one. It is pretty good and has given me some ideas for other projects. Like the felted bags could easily be made oversized and used as fun hampers or organizers.

That is a really cool idea!

That IS a good idea, now I have to buy this book! I hope none of you are confused as to why I call you my enablers.

I have the Folk Shawls (if it is the same series) and it is great. Amazon of course for me!

Two thumbs up for Folk Shawls and Folk Vests. Borrow them from the library to see if they would be of any use.

O.K. its decided I must have them all. And AMBush thanks for the Amazon tip where these are 40% less.

I wish I were knitting now.

If the image shows up this is the rest of the collection.

Folk knitting and Folk socks are great books (I have both). Not only the patterns look great but also the history written is very good and interesting.

I have the Folk Socks and am very happy with what I have made from it.

I have Folk Socks and Folk Knitting in Estonia; both very good IMHO. I haven't knit a project from either so far, but have stolen a pattern here and there.

Although I haven't knitted anything out of it. I do like the Folk shawls book. I am planning on doing the Wool Peddler's shawl soon.
