Bound and Determined

Rummaging around in my knitting bag I came across this variegated blue sweater that I had started in November for myself - and forgotten about in the midst of holiday gift knitting. I'm knitting it on round needles from Jojoland worsted weight wool that I had added to my stash with the Best Beloved was recuperating from his broken leg last year. I bought it off eBay. Each 50 gm skein of yarn is slightly different, and I'm really liking how it's coming out.

The pattern of the sweater is my own, but the stitch itself comes from B. Walker's book, The Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns - the cartridge belt rib, which looks like a lot of knit purling, but is mostly a lot of knitting with a slipped stitch thrown in which gives it a nice elastic rib.

I am bound and determined to finish this and wear it THIS WINTER, so I decided if I make that intention public, you guys can keep me honest!!!

That is gorgeous! You definitely must finish it and then show it to us!

Sweet color. I have no doubt that you will finish it soon. As for us keeping you honest, who'll keep us honest?
