I'm working on a clerical stole for my nephew (since he wants an entire set in *all* of the litrugical colours; plus his wife is also a priest - and can't show that much favoritism it acutally means two sets, this is a phrase I will probably be using a lot for the next few years )
Anyway - this is in Suri Alpaca on size 0 needles, a 1 x 1 rib. Colourway "Purple Majesty"
A few rows back I discovered I had either dropped a stitch or knit 2 together or *something* I knew where it had occurred, within a stitch or two, but couldn't find the blasted thing. I looked,
I looked again, I changed lighting, and looked again,
I changed glasses and looked again. Still couldn't find the dropped stitch.
So I figured I had knit 2 together - even though I couldn't spot that either. (dark purple yarn - size 0 needles, ageing eyes.) So I make a stitch by knitting into the side of the stitch below and continued.
but . . .
as I'm about to turn the work several rows further on - someting catches my eye! It's a loose loop, poised to run down the stole. Okay - it's poised to amble down the stole as the suri is 'sticky' enough that it doesn't run easily - but it's loose and it's gonna run if I don't do something.
The tip of the needle and a little time worked that sucker back up to the row where I had done the M1, which I was able to drop and work the runaway up in it's place - and lo and behold; all repaired! Now if I can just get the remaining 44 inches knit in the next 10 days AND lined.....
