Well here they are, one is ready for the heel and the other is getting there. My second one is coming out much tighter then my first since I've finally come up with a good way to hold the yarn so that the tension stays even. I wrap it once around my left wrist over to my pinkie and around my index finger and this works great as long as it's not too humid or hot but if my hands get the least bit damp I need to stop wraping it around my wrist, go straigt to the pinkie and just run it over the top of my index finger and not wrap it. I tried wraping it around my neck but that didn't work for me at all. And of course this is just for worsted yarn heavier stuff is a different story.
Anyway the lys lady didn't like the sock pattern from Knitting With Balls and made some adjustments to it. I'm using #4 needles instead of #8 and she recalculated all of the stitch numbesr for me. The 4s aren't nearly as bad as I thought they would be and the socks are still nice and chuncky. As you can see when I got to the stockinette section it got huge, not sure what's going on but I'll see what the second one does and then I guess I'll go ahead and finish the first one and if it really sucks I'll just do a third to go with the better 2nd one.
