Another shawl completed

And not a moment too soon, my list of projects are piling up with no end in sight.

I followed the pattern from the website up to a point. I did change needle sizes as I progressed with the shawl, but instead of changing with each new ball I opted to increase needle size as I changed patterns. The first pattern, English Mesh Lace, I used #7 and a #8 for the Horseshoe Lace pattern. When it was time for the Mini Vine Lace I opted for another approach. Each time I was able to add a new, complete stitch pattern twice, I would change my needle size on the next row (see "NOTE ON ABSORBING INCREASES INTO A LACE STITCH PATTERN" from

I am quite happy with the results, the yarn is easy to work with and very soft to the touch. I hope my wife will wear it more often than the scarf and hat I made her last year.

I am currently working on 2 new projects at once. One is the "Honeymoon Cami" By Julia Trice on I'm using the same yarn I used for my wife's shawl, Knit Picks Shine Sport but in Grass. I am also making the "Comfort Shawl" found on Lion Brand. I received a large cache of yarn from a good friend and I'm making her the shawl from the Homespun yarn she gave me.

Til next time
