Wish me luck!

Aug 5 I committed to having a pair of socks done and ready for display at the county fair by Aug 21. I've never worked on a deadline before, but I think I can do it, even with all the other chaos in my so-called life. I'm cast on and about done with the ribbing. I'm not a very fast knitter. I'm using a fairly heavy weight DK yarn, and I'm using size 3 needles, so I'm thinking it will go fast enough. The trick is not working on other WIPs or worse yet, casting on additional projects. I'll let you know if I make the goal! I know some of you whip out a pair of socks in an evening, but I'm not there yet ...

It's the second one of the pair that will be the problem....

good luck!

MMario - I'm not divorced from reality - we're having a trial separation

There in lies the beauty of knitting two at a time on two circular needles! When the ribbing's done, it's done on both socks! Same for the heel flap, same for the gusset, the toe, etc.

You can do it, especially if you follow your own advice and set aside other projects! Please share the finished product with us.

Knit on and on and on..........

I am very excited for you Peter. I wish you lotsa luck!

Enjoy the challenge.
