Any EASY free hat patterns??

RickMartin's picture

I have a friend that wants a simple (good for me) stocking cap pattern that rolls to form a brim. I've said before that I will not knit anything that has to fit...so I'm already in trouble. Therefore this pattern must be VERY easy and very stretchable (so that it will fit no matter how big or small I make it). Anybody here have a pattern they love that they can recommend.

Check out the collection at knittinghelp.com.... about halfway down on the right there is a rolled-brim hat. Once you see the basic design I'm sure its easy to change colors or add stripes on your own.

If wishes and buts were clusters and nutes we'd all have a bowl of granola.

Great - another one to check out! Now I'll have to do that strange thing like actually make a decision on which one to do!

Here is a pattern with a ribbed brim, if you leave off the ribbing and just knit stockinette stitch, it should give you a rolled brim.
