Returning to Knitting

Hi all. After about a year of not knitting, I have started knitting again. A friend of mine asked me to make him a "Rainbow" scarf. It knit up quickly because I used #10 needles and a simple 2 by 2 rib. It has simple bands of colors (nothing complicated or fussy). I used Cascade 220 yarn. I am pleased with how it turned out. Now I want to make a similar scarf for myself.

I made a friend a rainbow hat for christmas, and I was talking to him and somehow rainbown stuff came up in the conversation, and he goes "OMG, I would never wear anything rainbow! It's just too G**" which he is by the way. So now I've got this rainbow hat done in a fisherman's rib and not sure what to do with it. I've thought of ebay, or a consignment shop. You want a rainbow hat to go with your scarf? :-)
