Here is the begining of adding border to my shawl and the stitches being worked off the needles......now I wonder how long this will take as I only get to work on this between more pressing projects.
What a beautiful shawl Dennis! I love the color. I've just started my first lace piece that happens to be a shawl. what yarn did you use?

Thanks Millard, I hope you enjoy your lace shawl experience, I used a cone yarn of undetermined material, certainly is some wool in it but also some sort of acrylic, the colour is strange as it appears overall black but there are hues of blue, green and stone in it.
That is reallly beautiful, so elegant. Great work.
Looking forward to seeing the completed project. and yeah, those right angle edges take forever!
MMario - I'm not divorced from reality - we're having a trial separation
That is gorgeous!
What a beautiful shawl, great work.
It's so pretty. I'm knitting my first lace shawl. It really looks like a tangle of wet noodles on the needle, and I can't wait to get it off the needles and blocked.
Yes Thomas, what a mess it looks on the needles but block it and the caterpillar turns into the most beautful monarch butterfly
Gorgeous knitting. Brave soul for working with such a dark yarn but the end result is more than worth it. One nice thing about the sideways borders is that they do work up fairly fast. I eagerly anticipate seeing the finished shawl. Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
