Summer makes me feral

I haven't been around much lately and I'm sorry about that but summer keeps me outside in the garden or swimming or just hanging out with the fireflies - and, well, getting on my lap top is pretty much the last thing on my mind. I'm still getting lots of knitting done but not as much as in the winter. There's something cozy about snuggling up to a nice hank of merino on a cold winter's day. The summer, however, turns me into Mr. Outdoorsey (please don't tell my prissy overly refined freinds).

As the weather cools and the days get shorter I will return to the interesting and hospitable land of MWK.

What are you saying? We're all a bunch of wooses?

Definitely not me... I'm just back from a lovely walk in the jungle, swim at a waterfall, then sex amongst the vines, ferns and all sorts of things... I'm not a one to stay indoors when there is so much fun to be had outdoors!!!

Fourth of July here spent on the Palisades Cliffs, at the top of a residential tower, overlooking the New York Harbor, full view of the fireworks tonight below and a private terrace for launching a few rockets into our sockets. I love the urban outdoors!

I know what you mean by having fabric pressed into your face...heaven! LOL

The sum of my excitement for the Fourth was a family picnic...a cousin was visiting from Nebraska. However, after 2 nights of horrendous rainstorms - and flash flooding in parts of the city - quiet was good. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
