LYS closing up shop

Hey Everybody,

Another one bites the dust around here. Went to a going out of business sale yesterday and their Cascade 220 was 75% off! That means I got 10 hanks for 17 bucks or something like that. Everything in the store was at least 50% off. I was surprised at how much stock they still had. Some of you may be interested in making contact and talking with the employees about shipping whatever it is you might need. (Yeah, sure, do any of us 'need' more yarn?)

Sorry to hear that...even with great buys like your Cascade, it still sucks to see a yarn store go out of business.

I know. I didn't go into details with the owner, but I got the impression she and the husband were closing up shop so they can get on with some kind of retirement lifestyle.

Oh noess...I've been by there. (I have several cousins in the Tri-City area; I was just there last summer.) Too bad they are closing. I hope they enjoy retirement. There is a great yarn shop in Richland - in the big older shopping complex along George Washington Way - that I found some good buys in. Could always go there, if in the general area. Now, what was their name? Anyhow, pleasant experience to shop and visit at. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

I've heard that yarn stores are doing amazingly well in this economy. The two near me sure are. I wouldn't be at all surpised if your opens up again with new owners.
