So today is the Feast of St. Francis, but because it fell on a Sunday this year it is not necessarily liturgically observed in most Catholic parishes today. In any case, I thought I would take this opportunity to offer you all my hopes that you may have a blessed day today! A day that celebrates a gentle and well-spirited man. If he were alive on earth today, I'd have a feeling he would knit too -- if only he borrowed needles and yarn and gave away all his work to the poor.
"The Heavens are telling the Glory of God,
and all creation is shouting for joy!"
No doubt your knitted works shout for joy and give glory to God!
On a side note, I just want to clarify that, although I'm in formation with the Franciscan Friars, I'm not a friar. Not yet anyway. Currently I'm what is called a postulant, I hope to be formally received, God willing, into the Order as a novice next summer. Please keep me and all those in formation in your prayers.
Pax et bonum
