I am wanting to start offering decorative single point knitting needles that are geared toward men. I need your help in determining what style tops would be most popular. You could call this market research.
Please take a look at the attached picture and post which style tops you like. I will take the input and use it to determine what styles I may offer.
I make handcrafted, high quality hardwood knitting needles. I am an experienced woodworker, and have combined my interest in knitting to my interest in woodworking. Pictures of many of the needles I have made can be seen at www.geocities.com/outerbanksneedles . Most of the needles pictured there now have been sold. Others are frequently made. Check the site for updates, or requests to be emailed pics of new needles, before they are put on the website. Collectors often get them before the pic makes it to the website.
The swap/trade forum seems pretty underused, so I figured I'd give it a bump.
I'm looking for up to ten skeins of Naturally Tussock 10 ply in color #165. It's a navy blue with the plyester wrap thread. I bought five at one of my LYS on a 50% clearance sale, and I'm going to need more of it, I just can't find it in any of the other stores in my area, and the few places I've found online that have than specific color in stock are charging way more than I want to pay unless I absolutely have to. Same goes for having one of the stores order it for me. But I figured if anyone finds this (in that color) at their LYS, especially if it's at a clearance price (I paid $3.50 a skein!), please let me know and I can send you money (Paypal, check. MO, whatever) to cover the cost of the yarn and some postage.
I make wooden and bamboo knitting needles as a hobby, not as a business. I am willing to trade for; yarn to build my stash, knitting notions and gadgets, knitting books, make me an offer. If you request a specific size, I will need to know if it is US or metric. If you have a design in mind, let me know... pix and/or drawings help. I use my own hand-made Straight and Double-Point needles to knit with, and I know what is required by a knitter to make them pleasing to work with the very first time they are used. If you are not happy with my creations, I will gladly return whatever it was you traded me for them.
