HELLO!!! ANYBODY THERE?
OK, so I usually look askance at these comments about "knitting in public." I knit anywhere I like, public or private, and I have never had a negative experience with it. In fact, I often get very positive comments, or questions like, "What are you making?" So, when I took my knitting into my local brewpub, it was no different. It was pretty much ignored as we all watched Real Madrid win the UEFA cup on TV.
???? WHAT? LOL!
I'm mostly a lurker and don't post often, but found something I wanted to share. I was looking back through this past week's comic strips in the paper online this morning.
I've never liked the idea of being in the closet, so I'm coming right out and admitting it, I've learned to crochet.
Yeah, I know it's a cartoon, but this is pretty cute. It's good to see they're trying to break down the stereotypes at a young age!
Check out this great video of Rosey Grier, a former professional football player a well-known needle-pointer! He recently made this Public Service Announcement for the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
I just found this video and had to post it on my blog. It's a little slow (country song) but it will have you in stitches!
Here's a sweater design for men by Vivian Westwood.
...I don't think I'm going to be knitting this anytime soon...
