Here is the Faggot Diamond Pattern from Mary Thomas's Book of Knitting Patterns (1943).
Is this close to what you are looking for? I think your sample has chain/traveling stitches that may cross differently at the top of the diamond but it is definitely close.

Merry Christmas to all! I finished my Christmas knitting on Dec. 23 -- here is a picture of all the woolen goodies blocking. I got the ends all woven in with time to spare on Christmas Eve!
3 pairs of socks, 2 hats, 1 pair of mittens, 1 pair of slippers, 1 Christmas stocking and a partridge in a pear tree. . . .
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and a happy knitterly New Year!

Fleegle has unvented a way to knit garter stitch in the round without purling or using wrap and turn. I found this fascinating and can't wait to try it.

Although I have been a long-time knitter (35+ years) I am always interested in learning new things and trying a different technique.

I was just sitting here lusting over the new Patternworks Spring catalog when I noticed something called "Batooga Scarf Pattern" which calls for 9 colors of their new "Shokay" Tibetan yak down yarn.

I met up with a dear friend from high school and she made a comment in passing that she would love to have a piece of knitting but couldn't decide between a blue hat or blue gloves.

I knit these from Regia Strato Color on size 2 DP bamboo needles. They are from a 1936 Minerva pattern and turned out to be more like knee socks.

I started this sweater right after Thanksgiving and finished seaming it Christmas morning at 1:05 AM.
