Good Evening All, Several years ago I picked up a copy of Loop-d-Loop , more than 40 novel designs by Teva Durham because I was drawn to this particular raglan. It is an interesting design knitted in the round with an irregular rib with asymmetrical arm holes. The right is shaped to accommodate a simple drop shoulder sleeve, while the left side has a raglan placket to match a raglan sleeve. the right side has a shoulder seam, whereas the left side, the back and front and sleeve end up on the collar. Here is a photo grab from ravelry of one i particularly like.
Morning All, I really liked this patten by Anne. Fun and quick. I like my personal twist with the orange toe and chartreuse heel. Hope it shapes up for a fulfilled weekend for everyone. Regards to All, JRob
Since I liked Anne's last pattern so much I decided to start a sock pattern by her. I began them last Thursday evening. Here is a current picture of my progress. Thinking about doing a bright orange toe. What do you think? Hope you're all having a great weekend. Weather in STL has been spectacular for the middle of winter. The last two days sunny and over 50 degrees. Keep the needles going, JRob.
So you ask what do you love - it is a classic. Anne’s pattern is extremely well written, easy to follow and a breeze to knit. Almost any fibre can be used and it would be wonderful. Everything we love in a project. The design is not overly complicated and knits up beautifully. Besides it just looks great. It is one of those patterns and designs that I envision knitting again and again. Everyone who saw it today loved it and those with balls asked if I could knit one for them. The repetitive repeat is pleasing to the eye at just the right length and width to me almost magical.
As soon as my son and his family left to go home to TN I began the scarf. I am making it for myself. The color is pecan from La Jolla “Baah” Original Hand Painted Yarn 100% Super wash Merino - Fingerling Weight 30 sts +4 inches. I am using Lantern Moon 3.5 mm/US4 sized needles. Jeffrey
Good Morning Guys,
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic New Year. Here's to completing projects, adding to the stash and having a great time with a craft that we all share. Glad for this community of knitting brothers.
Merry Christmas to all,
My next project will be the Socks Appeal Boxers by the Skacel Collection. I just cast on the 56 stitches required for the center back panel. I am using leftover yarn in my stash. Should be fun and easy. Mindless TV knitting while sitting with my wife while she is watching her shows. Hope you've all got your shopping done. JRob
Just finished binding off Barndom a Stephen West design (see my previous post). Need to weave in the loose ends and block. Hope to complete tomorrow night so that I can wear it Christmas Eve. Loved the pattern and design. JRob
Happy Holidays All,
Well Barndom is coming off the needles just in time for Christmas. I love the bind-off technique. I have never used this method before. BO all stitches loosely on RS row as follows, (k2tog tbl, slip st back to left needle) to end of row. It creates a beautiful edge.
Hope your New Year is filled with fantastic yarn, great patterns and wonderful garments,
