I've been shopping for me again! Patternworks was very wise to send me a catalog all the way to New Zealand.
“Fabulous Fairisle” by John Allen; hard cover, 120 pages; printed in Scotland; 1991 (out of print).
“Poetry In Stitches – Clothes you can knit” by Solveig Hisdal; hard cover, 172 pages; 2001 (out of print). It was printed in Denmark but is written in English.
"Looping for Fun and Profit - with the world famous Grant Looper!"
"Traditional Knitting - Patterns of Ireland, Scotland and England" by Gwyn Morgan; St Martins Press; 1981. It is hardcover with 112 pages and some colour photos. It is out of print.
I don't mind knitting I-cord but it is a rather time consuming when I need a long piece for a hoodie tie.
Here is one of the newest DVDs from Lucy Neatby. I have all her DVDs and I highly recommend them for any knitter, both beginner and advanced, who wishes to enhance their knitting skills.
I find I am absolutely dependent on stitch markers when I do the Fair Isle pattern knitting. I mark out each pattern repeat by both width and depth.
