I'm about to finish up shaping the second toe of my hiking socks from _The Knitting Man(ual)_. The first sock I finished with the kitchener stitch and it looks great!!

I was working out in the garage today and came across my drill gauge. I thought to myself, "Now that looks exactly like my knitting needle gauge." So I got my needles out and tested the gauges. Although the measurements of the holes are not exact (I would probably never use this chart myself since I have a couple needle gauges), one could use the following conversion chart if need be:
