I started my spoilee's scarf for the scarf exchange. Bulky Lamb's pride in Onyx, Charcoal Heather, and Brite Blue in a Mosaic pattern by Janet Pittman.
I made "Boo" from a pattern from mochimochiland.com out of Bernat cashmere and size 5 needles. This is for my friend Ren who is a bat fanatic.
I finished a Koolhaas hat designed by Jared Flood. This was a fun easy knit, but the little cables made it interesting. The yarn is "WOol of the Andes" in cranberry from Knitpicks.
Rhinebeck was so much fun and I managed to get my picture taken with "The Yarn Harlot" even though I made a bumbling fool of myself.
I don't know what happened to the picture that was with my last post, but here it is again.
I figured I better post a picture of something I knit to show that I actually can knit. This is a baby hat I made for a friends son. It is an acrylic yarn so it is easy for my friend to wash. I'm generally not a yarn snob. I like different yarns for different reasons.
I just wanted to say "Hi" to everyone again. I decided to go back to school and it has kept me very busy. I wasn't doing much knitting or contributing to any blogs.
Now that I'm break between semesters I've been knitting and visiting my favorite websites- including this one!
I have a gazillion UFOs, but I've been mostly working on the Elizabeth Zimmermann "baby surprise sweater" for a friend's baby that wasn't due until June 10th. He was born May 11th. I don't think I will ever make anything on time for anyone! lol
