Wow it has been a long time since I been here.... I almost forgot this place existed... anyway... I am back now... and still knitting up a storm... I am working on knit my second blanket... I did one before christmas as a gift for a family member... it took just over a month... I spent all my free time on it... which is the main reason why I have not been here in sometime...

Work has been keeping me so busy that I have not even got a chance to come here and blog or even just come here and look around... It has gotten to the point where I am so tried after work that I do not even feel like knitting.. I know scary.... However they have hired someone else to help take some pressure off.. Which means soon I will be able to knit again... Yeah...

Well this week is almost over and I am gald... It has been a crappy week... I feel that I work with stupid people. Any way I do not need to be bitching about work to you guys so I will stop.
So I did not have as much of a product time weekend as I planned.. I ended up doing things with my wife... But I did get a total of around 3 hours knitting in the whole weekend. Which is more then I have done all week. I have been to tired to knit most nights.
However I have a feeling things will be getting better which is a good thing. I really miss knitting.

It has been to long since writting here... and it is not because I have forgotten the page... It is just that i have gone back to work after vaction... Which has been pure hell and long hours.... I have had one day off since the 5th of sept. and have work 9 hour days except for the 12 hour shifts which there was four of them....
The good thing that comes out of this is the money... However I have only knit two dish clothes in the last two weeks... Which sucks.. I use to knit at least three a when I was working... but work has been to much and has drained me.... To the point where most days I do not want to knit when I get home...

I know it has been some time since I have written here. The man reason is that I am on vaction in northern Ontario Canada with my wife visiting her family. It has been great, I have 6 more days here then it is back to Waterloo.
The good thing about being on vaction is that I have had a lot of time to knit. Which I have done a lot of. In the 9 days I have been here I have knitted 12 dish clothes for friends and family. This has been done while visiting people and a concert. It has been a blast since most friends and family that I visited did not know I knitted and they thought it was great that I did.

Wow it has been sometime since I have written something.
So here we go.
I am so happy with the response that has come from my forum topic about dish clothes. It has produced some interesting conversation and some links to great sites that have many patterns on them..
The only down fall to this is that my wife feels that now I am spending as much time with her as I should, but hey I can't help it I love to knit and it is hard to set the needles down once I start knitting.
Well I am off to go for a bike ride with my wife, we both finally each have a bike to ride.

It is good to hear that there are others out there that understand what I feel.
I will say this I do not worry what people say about what people think about my knitting. It is just that I wish they could see the benifits of knitting. Besides homemade gifts, I also find that knitting helps with my hands. When I am not knitting I Chef/cook at a university. Before I started knitting I found that I got hand cramps from all the chopping and food prep I had to do. After I started Knitting the cramps are pretty much all gone. Those are just tow of the benifits I find in knitting.
well I could go on for ever but that is all I need to say for now.

Where I am from in Southern Ontario Canada male knitters are few and far between. which is not that bad but strange when there is no one out there that understands the passion i have for knitting.
The hardest thing is talking about it at work. For the most part because my co-workers don't really understand and have a tendence to poke fun at me.. This of cousre is until I give them something that I have made, then they are nothing but thanks and that is so cool.
But whatever I will never let it get to me. I enjoy knitting and I do not plan on stoping anything soon. Which is good since I have to start getting ready to start making Christmas gifts.

Well now that i am no longer really a newbie to thgis website, I am starting to learn what it has to offer.
Compared to what I have seen around here I am still a very amature knittier... Which is fine with me I will learn with time. I was the same with my artist drawing skills they did not happen right away either... I think being an artist has helped with my creativity in making my own patterns for dish clothes and wanting to try new things.
Well I guess this is all for know. I will write more in days to come. When I can actually find time to between working and home life.
