I made a pair of heavy socks for my brother-in-law who does a lot of outside work in the winter. I used Briggs and Little Tuffy and 4mm needles.
I finished a square shawl with some Bluefaced Leciester 2/8 from The Fleece Artist in Nova Scotia in the colourway "Victoria". I used 4.5 mm needles.
I finished this cardigan a month or so ago but just washed and blocked it today. My friend Miguel tried it on but I had knit it for myself and it is much too large for him.
I am looking for 6 ply sock yarn (75%wool and 25% nylon, more or less). Dennis who works at Romni in Toronto told me they carry a self striping one. I would prefer a solid colour.
Do you guys know about this.
Has anyone bought the Herbert Niebling book? I wonder what you think of it or what other people have said about it.
Just finished a nice and fast doily from Yarnover. I used # 10 cotton and 2.75 mm needles. Fun to do.
Recently finished a shawl/afghan with some Jamieson and Smith Shetland wool that was left over from other projects.
Just finished a sweater for my friend Miguel.
A few weeks ago, Shawn (HuskerClub) commented on a request for a stretchy cast on. He described a cast on that I had never heard of before.
