Mes Swansen, in "A Gathering of Lace", describes how she hangs a shawl with a sideways knitted on garter stitch border over a 4" dowel suspended between two cupboards to block it.
I tried to post this with the other shawl but it didn't take!!
I made this shawl for my niece. It is from Cheryl Oberle"s "Folk Shawls". I used Briggs and Little Sport on 5.5mm.
I just had to do one border on this to finish it. It is done in Jamieson and Smith Shetland wool on 3.25 mm needles.
Just finished an Aran - something I don't knit very often. It was frustrating at times because of all the knitting and purling and keeping track of each pattern.
I just had to do the arm and neck borders on this one. As you can see from the signature it was started in 2006.
As requested here is a picture of the completed vest. I just had to do the borders. Two more to go.
I knew I had three vests that only needed a bit of finishing and resolved this past weekend to get them finished.
Finished a sweater for my six year old niece. I used some Paton's merino that was left over from another project. I have resolved to use up my odds and ends and will do some mittens.
Inspired by all of you lace knitters, I bought some silk and merino in fingering weight and found an easy pattern to knit this scarf.
