Silk & Mohair "Water Lily" Scarf

Here is a pic of a scarf I finished last month and sent to a very close friend for ther 90th birthday. It is knitted with two strands of handpainted silk and mohair. The colors are the favorites of the recipient, who as very surprised that I would know that information. It was knit with larger needles to give it a lighter, lacy feel. I was very lucky to find a ribbon with the exact same colors as the yarn. I have a little of the yarns left over, so now need to figure out what to do with it. It was much too expensive to just toss aside.

Ribbon fringe? Very sweet. Quite a few textiles in the middle east use similar fringe made of narrow strips of cloth. I like the color of yours with the yarn.
