FO - Iceland Lopi "Lappi" child's sweater

I'm giving this one away today so I figured I'd need to take a pic of it. It's from the Lopi pattern book #25 - called "Lappi" and I used Paton's Classic Wool. The baby shower (baby girl due in February) is this afternoon and I'm thinking the sweater will fit in a couple years. Oh well. Learning to steek and cut up the front was a challenge but I'm glad I did it. Getting that done and sewing in the zipper was the most challenging part of the whole project.

Very cute and well made!
Hope we'll get to see the baby modelling it in due time!

What a thoughtful gift. I'm absolutely certain this one will be passed along with each generation.

It's absolutely beautiful: color selection, construction, and the knitting is absolutely faultless. Great work.

Beautifully done!
...and you'd be surprised how cute an oversize garment looks on a baby...she'll get lot of wear from it.

Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow! That is way over the top. I'm sure the baby's mother (and everyone else at the shower) will be blown away. Congratulations. It's an inspiration!

Great job Frank! I bet you get orders for more sweaters once this is opened!

That is a charming sweater. Great colour. Isn't it wonderful you steeked and sewed in a zipper? You now have two new techniques under your belt.

Yes!! I'm glad I did it although I can't say I welcome the opportunity again. Maybe steeks for armholes but I'm not so sure about for a cardigan zipper. :-)

I'm in awe, Frank! Fantastic job with all aspects. Truly inspirational! Steeking still scares me - but I'll do it one day.

Great knitting, Frank. Whenever I attempt to steek (and I won't even attempt to guess when) I hope I remember your fine work as encouragement. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
