First Post

Well, this is my first time posting on this site. It only took me a week or so, haha. I wanted to wait so I could take some pictures of the work I did over my school's winter break on some bodies. These were the first sweater and jacket I've done so far. The sweater was just a simple one-seam that looks like it's knit in a rib stitch, but it's crocheted, where the jacket was done in simple rib and stockinette stitches.

Welcome! I saw that sweater and thought, "That is totally cool. I know several coworkers that would want one." Then I saw the jacket. Forget the sweater - they can go buy one somewhere. I want that jacket! Great work, mister.

Have been knitting for years. I knit continually then will try another craft, but will return to the needles.

Welcome! Your work looks great. I've been working on my first sweater, myself. Keep us posted on your work =)

You can't imagine how difficult it is for some of us to bring a project to completion in a way that makes it look as fantastic as your two "firsts".

You picked a spectacular model for both garments...I think you'll fit in perfectly here at MWK.

Welcome and thanks for the inspiring post.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I'd like to be able to have more time to work on my projects, but since school just started, I'll have about half of what I used to. So these two projects that took about a week together would probably take me two or three.

Anyone else feeling inadaquate? Those are his first projects of that type, took him only a week total....and turned out superb....

MMario - I'm not divorced from reality - we're having a trial separation

Yep, me too.

OK, I’m officially gobsmacked. You are clearly going to be a knitter to watch. Well done! I hope that this work brings you all the good things that it has brought to so many of the rest of us. All the best.

Very nice work indeed... Like everyone else, I can't wait to see your future projects!

1. I officially dislike you already.
2. You need to magically turn 18 so I can make jokes about you.
3. Your first sweater is so much better than the pattern that I chose for mine, we are just not even going to talk about it.
4. You live WAY too close to a whole bunch of cool movie related things, and this is another thing I dislike you for already.

Anyway, welcome to our little gig. We love it here, even though I have been working too hard lately to really read what has been going on, let alone have time to knit. I look forward to many pretty pics from you.

Hey, that's a really good job, considering they're a couple of your first projects! is the jacket by any chance the Saturday Morning Hoodie from the Lion Brand website? I've been knitting for a while, but I still haven't gotten the nerve to try a sweater of any sort! Good job.
