Last spring my best friend Nicole told me she was having her second child and we learned later on that it was going to be a boy. I ended up making up this set piece mill from 3 different sources. I finished my first BSJ finally! Yayyyyyy! It was fun and just as addicting as everyone says. I'm ready to make another as soon as I hear of a baby coming. I used LB Cotton worsted in Navy and Avacado on a Addi circular. It's a 4 row alternating stripe that came out just like I wanted! The collar directions were obtained from Wikipedia and are written out on my ravelry account
(sorry, tried to link it but it isn't working). The hat pattern is the Umbilical Cord cap out of Stitch 'n Bitch. I used 5 row alternating stripes in SS. I love this pattern and it's so easy! To finish out the set, I crocheted the booties from Crochet Today - "Gumdrop Booties" and added the pom poms to gay it up a little...LOL (",) I apologize for the crappy photos!

That is such a freakin' cute set. I am so jealous that you have a baby to knit for... honestly, it makes me want to go out and rent one just so I can justify the yarn..

That is extreamly cute man,

Thanks Chris. That's so funny! I know what you mean, though. I LOVE to knit me some baby clothes!

If some sissy tried to kick my ass I would say, "Hey, Mary, go knit me a sweater before I slap you in the face!”

OMG, I would so wear that sweater, I wonder how hard it would be to change the pattern in to men's 40. I need to branch out into baby stuff, it looks like so much fun. What a great assemble!

That's adorable. Thanks for giving me the smile today. Your friend is a lucky gal to have a knit-freak like you.

Extremely well done, Mill. That is one of the best baby ensembles I've seen in a long time. Lucky baby and mother. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
